The is a charitable organization that disseminates information on the functions and diseases of the digestive system. It organises patient education programmes, and supports research efforts in diseases of the digestive system, with an emphasis on conditions that are common in the region.

It also assists patient support groups and currently has the Singapore Hepatitis Support Group and the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Support Group (IBD SG) under its wing.

AsiaHep (S'pore), which organises regular Continuous Medical Education (CME) programmes to update the general practitioners with information on viral hepatitis, is also under the auspices of the NFDD.

Membership is open to Singapore residents.
